About Us

The Binky Collective was established with the main purpose of raising funds to contribute towards the vet expenses of the buns we rescue.  Most of the buns we come across have been dumped/neglected on the streets, or giveaways on GumTree/FB Marketplace.  We are also approached by vets across SA, when buns are presented to be put-to-sleep for unimaginable reasons such as being “aggressive”, owners not wanting to pay the surrender fee for rehoming through a shelter, or owners not being able to/wanting to cover the vet fees to treat an injury/illness.  We do encourage bunny owners just wishing to rehome their buns to approach the RSPCA or AWL as a first option, as we are usually running at capacity with our foster carers, and have to accomodate emergency rescues who are dumped on the streets/surrendered to vets as a priority.

Unfortunately getting our rescue buns off to their best start for a happy, loved and safe future does come at a high cost (on average $380-$500 per bun, with some costing much more).  Most of our rescues come to us not desexed, and unlikely vaccinated.  We only use highly regarded bunny-savvy vets to perform any surgery or treatment required.  None of our rescues are rehomed without the required desexing surgery either performed, or booked to be performed in the near future.

The Binky Collective is a group of caring individuals and businesses, that have committed to providing an amazing array of products for bunnies and their humans, with all profits to go to the vet fees of our rescue buns.
